2015-2016 Season Preview

Posted: Jun 19, 2015

After several months of hard work during spring training, both on and off the ice, Gold Ice is very excited about the upcoming season. With the recent addition of our Adult 1 Team “Eclipse,” the Gold Ice family has more skaters than ever before.

Highlights of the Spring Training season include working with Brian Orser and Nam Ngyen as well as 2015 World Synchronized Skating Champion and Gold Ice alumni Victoria Smith. The teams also enjoyed seeing improvements in their fitness levels with regular cardio and strength training sessions on the track, pushing themselves beyond their limits. Most recently the Novice and Beginner 2 teams had the chance to share the ice together for a “sister skate.” There were lots of giggles and several new bonds have been formed.

Head Coach Jessica Brown will be leading the way once again, accompanied by coaches Ashley Greenhalgh, and Andrea Clement. Gold Ice is pleased to welcome Lisa Crupi to our staff this season, as head coach of the Eclipse Adult 1 team.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy summer holiday!
