Gold Ice Junior is proud to be a candidate for a Dairy Farmers of Canada 2017 Champions Fund Grant.
The Champions Fund was created by Dairy Farmers of Canada to empower the female athletic community, to provide a resource that can help change the game for Canada’s young girls and women athletes.
The camaraderie of training and competing with a team of passionate and committed athletes is one of the aspects of synchronized skating that we love so much. Working together to achieve goals with the support of coaches, trainers, friends & family and the reward of seeing your dreams become reality at the end of the season – is there anything better than feeling? We would like to see more opportunities for women to participate in competitive sports without financial commitments to the sport holding them back.
As we set our sights on earning a position on the Canadian National Junior Team, this grant will go a long way to support our goals by providing funds for additional ice time, coaching and training. Grant recipients will be announced on October 20th.
