The Club

Gold Ice has a long history of producing championship synchronized skating teams.

Representing Skate Canada Brampton-Chinguacousy in Skate Ontario, Gold Ice Skaters come from all across the GTA.

Gold Ice was founded in 1999 under the direction of Wendy Coates. Over the years Gold Ice has developed a reputation of producing successful teams including several national and world medals

In 2003 the Gold Ice Junior team went on to win their very first National Championship with the infamous Carmina Burana free program. This team continued to see success season after season qualifying for a total of 7 World Junior Challenge Cups and winning bronze in 2004, 2005, and silver in 2008. Gold Ice welcomed back a Junior team in 2017-2018 which secured a place on the Canadian National Junior Team after winning the bronze medal at the 2018 Skate Canada National Synchronized Skating Championships. They have since gone on to represent Canada at several ISU events in France, Croatia and Finland. Currently the Junior team is ranked 3rd in Canada.

Gold Ice is also home to the current 2x Novice National Champions of Canada and the 2022 Skate Ontario Juvenile Provincial Champions.
