Winterfest Weekend is here!

Posted: Jan 5, 2018

It is often considered Christmas for the synchronized skating world, Winterfest is one of the highlights of the season.

Gold Ice is proud and excited to be hosting Winterfest & ISU Junior World Championship Qualifier for the third season in a row. We look forward to welcoming over 100 teams from across Canada and the US to the Hershey Centre in Mississauga this weekend.

As this is also the ISU Junior World Championship qualifier, 4 Canadian Junior teams will be competing for two berths to the 2018 World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia.

A total of 7 Gold Ice teams will be competing at Winterfest: Juvenile, Pre-Novice, Novice, Open, Junior, Adult 1 and Adult 3. Our skaters have been working incredibly hard over the winter holidays to prepare for this big event.
